What to expect
Your first visit to LOPBC
We're excited to meet you! Below are some important things to know for your first visit.
Parking
Parking at LOPBC might not always be obvious. If our front lot is full, you may need to either park on the left side of the church or behind the church. There are two paths you can take. The first is to the left, going between the new sanctuary and the current sanctuary. Alternatively, you can follow the path to the right of the church.
Where to Go
We’re growing and our new sanctuary is not yet ready. Enter the main building entrances (denoted by red stars) for our services. If you are attending Bible study, please ask one of our greeters in the foyer and they can help you find the right classroom.
Visitor Registration
While we have no formal registration, we ask that you fill in our visitor form found in your church bulletin.
Child Care
We provide free child care during the service. Just mention to one of our greeters that you’d like some assistance. It’s that easy!
Van Service
Unable to drive, we can pick you up! Just give us a call at (903) 755-2793 on Sunday before 9:00 AM or Wednesday before 5:00 PM. A member of our van ministry will be happy to help!
How we worship
Worship Services
LOPBC offers many different opportunities to worship, study the Bible, grow spiritually, and enjoy fellowship with others. Our services are based in the God's word and we select music, both traditional hymns and contemporary songs, that complement the message of the day.
Sundays
Sunday School – 9:45 AM
Sunday school provides an opportunity for followers to understand Biblical text, strengthen their faith, and engage with God’s word in a well structured format. Sunday school is conducted in a small-group classroom format where the leader and students engage in discussion of an assigned topic. There are XX Sunday school classes, each with a different focus. Morning Service – 11:00 AM
Sunday morning service is traditional in structure, beginning with some opening hymns and a contemporary song. Following this is our offering and the message. We then conclude the service with a call to the alter and closing prayer.
Evening Service – 6:00 PM
Sunday evening services builds on and continues the message from the morning service.
Wednesdays
Wednesday Evening Fellowship – 6:00 PM
Enjoy a complementary meal and fellowship with the church.
Mission Friends – 6:30 PM
Mission Friends is a ministry for children 3 yrs. – Kindergarten.
King’s Kids – 6:30 PM
King’s kids is for children in the 1st through 6th grade.
Youth Bible Study – 6:30 PM
Youth Bible Study is for children in the 7th through 12th grade.
Adult Bible Study – 6:30 PM
Wednesday Adult Bible Study is held to dive deeper on a particular topic. The bible study is conducted as a large group service while still offering many opportunities for group interaction.
