Our committees support the day-to-day operations of Lake O’ The Pines Baptist Church. The committees provide service to the church body and bring recommendations to church on important church business matters. Below is a description of each of our committees.

Baptism

The Baptism Committee is responsible for coordinating baptisms and maintaining the church baptistry.

Benevolence

The Benevolence Committee is responsible for assisting church members in need.

Building & Grounds

Building and Grounds Committee is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our church facilities and grounds.

Church Council

The Church Council consists of committee and ministry leaders.

Church Host

The Church Host Committee responsible for welcoming and greeting church members as the enter and exit the church as well as offering assistance when necessary.

Church Ushers

Ushers collect tithes and offerings during the church service.

Constitution & Bylaws

The Constitution and Bylaws Committee recommends changes to the church constitution and bylaws to address the changing needs of the church while ensuring adherence to church doctrine and God’s word.

Decorating

The Decorating Committee is responsible for both seasonal decoration of the church as well decoration of the church for special events.

Insurance

The Insurance Committee reviews insurance policy coverage and cost to adequately manage the Church’s financial risk.

Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper committee is responsible for the preparation and execution of the Lord’s Supper.

Nominating

The Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying, vetting, and recommending church members for committee positions.

Personnel

The Personnel Committee is responsible for reviewing the performance of church staff as well as interviewing and recommending new hires.

Short & Long Range Planning

The Short and Long Range Planning Committee recommends initiatives to address near-term and long-term needs for the Church and Church growth.

Stewardship

The Stewardship Committee is responsible for wisely maintaining and applying the gifts that God has bestowed to the Church.

Sunday School

The Sunday school Committee is responsible for identifying the various Sunday School classes that best serve our church.

Trustees

The Church Trustees are elected by the church to be the signatories, and custodians of church property.

Worship

The Worship Committee is responsible for conducting the worship ceremonies.
